New TV Show

In late February and early March, 2005 LMP welcomed Lilly's Light Productions to the studio for music pre-records for a new television pilot called "Lilly's Light" starring Sherry Hursey .   Sherry will be familiar to those of you who saw her co-star on ABC's "Home Improvement" series as well as recent guest appearances on Judging Amy, NYPD Blue, Nip/Tuck, JAG... plus about 100 others to date.
Sherry along with Director Dan Carrey joined music producer Jim Linahon to create seven new original songs for the show.   Included were songs composed by Steve Dorff, Jon Walmsley, Sherri Lewis and Larry Dean .

Arrangers for the session included Ron Newman, Charles Argersinger and Tom Ranier.   Tom also served as musical conductor and coordinated arrangements and orchestrations.   The tracking sessions included Tom Ranier on piano, Adrian Rosen on bass, Tom Hynes on various guitars, with Ralph Humphries and Bobby Dominguez on drums and percussion.   Winds included Jeff Tower on Trombone , Jerry Garvin on French Horn, Hope Rojas on Flute , Ernie Delfante and Gary Tavis on woodwinds, and Jim Linahon on Trumpet & Flugelhorn. World famous artist and set designer William Stout created magnificent sets for Lilly's Light and production went to shoot in early April. Sound on Set Engineer was internationally renowned audio producer Chris Leplus . After the shoot the pilot spent four weeks at Post Solutions in Hollywood under the expertise of film editor Charlene Perrone. The edited master returned to LMP in May for six weeks of audio Post Production (FX, ADR, Foley, Music Remix) and creation of the final consolidated audio master (CRAM).

The show was shot on HD Panavision Cameras , edited on Avid Nitrous and audio post was done on the new Avid Mojo / Pro Tools HD III Accel system. So ever y sound and visual shot was done at the highest level of cutting edge audio/video technology available today.

This is a musically based show with a wonderful cast of twelve but we can't tell you more than that right now. Suffice it to say that Sherry is a world class singer and actress who envisioned this project and served as both Star and Producer.

Sherry and Dan put together the entire production from pre-records to shoot to post production.   The teams they selected to work with on this show represent some of the best talent and neatest people in the Hollywood film and television industry.   LMP was delighted to be included.

Lilly's Light Starring Sherry Hursey
One Hour TV Special!

In December 2005, LMP Studios welcomed back the new TV series "Lilly's Light" for two additional music scores for the premiere one hour special.

A new song "Possibilities" by songwriter Sherri Lewis became the opening musical number for the additional scenes added to the pilot.   A full orchestral score was created by arranger Ron Newman and was brought to life over the last two weeks in December with musicians Tom Ranier, Luther Hughes, Matt Johnson, Jeff Tower, Patti Maggs, Michelle Brewbaker, Jerry Garvin, and a host of violinists !

This wonderful opening song's title perfectly describes the positive and upbeat nature of this show - and with star Sherry Hursey's magical voice and a cast of great young singers - well - it was a moment of magic and smiles all around the LMP studio!

The additional musical scenes were shot at Paramount Ranch with director Dan Carrey and his as usual excellent crew in early January.   Final HD editing and audio/music post-production took place through the end of March - and post color correction at Technicolor is happening as we are writing this! Rumor has it that Executive Producer Al Klein and his lovely wife Sally Klein may be doing a cameo appearance!   Stay tuned...

With a great cast of young talented singers, a first class director, and our star Sherry Hursey - who is the "real deal" both musically and as an actress (and Executive Producer!) - "Lilly's Light" brings true musical art, dance and a sense of joy and innocence back to children's television.

This show is a winner...we will update Network broadcast information when it is finalized!
