Inland Pacific Ballet's Cinderella
A New Ballet for Children

On January 21st Inland Pacific Ballet (IPB) directors Victoria Koenig and Kevin Myers joined music producer Jim Linahon in the LMP Studio to begin work on the creation of a second completely new children's ballet based on the story of "Cinderella."

Underwritten by a grant from the Irvine Foundation , IPB has uncovered a delightful score written by Johann Strauss II   (the famous Waltz King) for a turn of the century production of Cinderella at the Vienna Opera . Strauss' lilting music combined with sumptuous fairy princess costumes and expressive choreography will capture the romance and magic of this classic story.

This brand new original ballet based on the beloved fairy tale, Cinderella will follow the tremendous success of IPB's original ballet The Little Mermaid as the second in a series of creative productions designed for children of all ages.

Score mixing, editing and mastering will take place at LMP Studios through the rest of January and 1 st week of February with a completed master score ready for choreography and staging rehearsals by February10th.   Performances of Cinderella are in mid-March and will sell out quickly!

This will be a fantastic new ballet and every child deserves to experience this magnificent art form of dance combined with superb music!   So get your children, grandchildren, next-door youngsters or local pre-schoolers and treat them - and yourself - to the beauty and magic of IPB's Cinderella!
