North Atlantic Jazz Alliance
In early October, LMP Studios was pleased to record the inaugural CD for the newly formed North Atlantic Jazz Alliance (NAJA) . This group comprises outstanding jazz artists from Germany and the United States and was formed through the alliance of German pianist/composer Marcus Burger and American trumpeter/producer Jim Linahon. Over a five day period from October 7th - 11 th , NAJA gave its first series of concerts in the U.S. at the Goethe Institute in Los Angeles, at Wilshire Auditorium in Fullerton California, and at San Diego State University . On October 9 th the group came to LMP Studios and in a 10 hour session recorded a new CD for international release. A North American & Canada tour is scheduled for July/August 2006 and a pending European tour is in negotiations for December 2006. The group's members have numerous Grammy, EU Music, Comet , and Emmy award-winning albums/CD/DVD's to their credit. NAJA's professional performance experience covers virtually every facet of the Jazz and Classical artforms performed on every continent of the world! The one-day recording session at LMP Studios yielded nine original works written for the group by the various members. Award winning producer/engineer Chris Leplus engineered along with second engineer Joey Linahon and the musical results were outstanding. The creatively fresh, exciting music on this CD represents all forms of jazz from traditional thru modern to cutting edge avant garde.
