Inland Pacific Ballet
The Nutty Nutcracker

In early December Inland Pacific Ballet co-directors Vicky Koenig and Kevin Myers along with professional dancers / choreographers Daniel Kirk and Eric Shah joined Jim Linahon in the LMP Studios to create a new score for the ballet comedy spoof " The Nutty Nutcracker".

To say that the sessions were fun - indeed hilarious - was an understatement. A Pas de Deux that morphed into a cell phone crazed Disco Queen and Waltz of the Flowers that suddenly spawned a "weed" were just two of dozens of humorous enhancements to this "comedic" version of the traditional ballet Christmas classic.

Somehow - in the middle of creating an entire new ballet score - Vicky, Kevin and Jim also found two days to record IPB's outstanding class pianist Susan Brown in a new two disc set of CD's for teaching dance class.

This new series of CD's called The Ballet Master Class
"Signature Series"
will be available to dance studios across the country and will feature major ballet teachers / choreographers and pianists performing their favorite works    for teaching ballet class.

Next up on the IPB agenda?   A completely new score for a brand new IPB children's ballet " Cinderella " .   This new ballet should be a delight for both the eye and ear and will follow in the same great tradition of last year's highly successful " The Little Mermaid".
