Jazz - Jazz - Jazz Sessions
Who's Who in LA Jazz!

In early November LMP Producer Jim Linahon welcomed longtime friends Jeff Tower and Ken Lesight to record their new CD " Things We Like To Do" with several of their closest musician friends in the LA Music scene.   Those invited to perform with Ken and Jeff looked like a " Who's Who of Jazz" in the music business of Los Angeles.

Joining Kenny and Jeff were saxophonists Lanny Morgan, Brandon Fields, Ernie Delfante, Matt Zebley, Craig Yancey and Tom Catanzarro , trumpeter Mark Raphael , pianists Shelly Berg and Matt Harris , guitarist Tom Hynes , bassist Bart Samolis , and drummer Matt Johnson.

The session started at 9 am. - ended at 7pm. and - even with a relaxed lunch break -11 smokin' jazz tunes were recorded with enough jokes and laughter between "takes" to keep everyone with a huge smile on their face.   Many of these artists have known each other since the late 1970's and all of them have worked together in concerts, tours, studio sessions, educational clinics/festivals, and summer jazz camps and nightclubs.

It was truly a day of memorable jazz, great solos, true camaraderie and non-stop laughter among good friends and colleagues.   The CD should be a real delight, so stay tuned to this page for the release party.   It should be great fun!
